Branch Brush is an all natural form of oral hygiene that is used in aid of toothpaste, floss and the brush head itself. This ancient concept comes from the root of the Salvadoran tree and is knows as 'Miswak.'

The World health organisation, recognises the Miswak as an effective part of oral hygiene and many of the natural properties found are recommended by the American Dental Association.

From the root to the basin!

Step 3

Brush your teeth like Lady Leshurr would!!

Step 1

Scrape a centimeter of the bark off using your nail (unless you've just got your nails done, then we suggest you chew it).

Step 2

Soak your Branch Brush in a pool of water to loosen the fibers, for your own desired time.

Why do I need it?

One of the biggest problems our current world is facing is plastic waste!

Unfortunately, plastic is currently seen as an essential within our daily lifestyles.

Waste sent for incineration rose to 10.2 million tonnes, an increase of 0.9 million tonnes in 2016/17, Which leads us to our second problem; the lack of education about plastic waste that is destroying our planet for not only us but for generations to come.

One of the leading causes to current plastic waste is the use of plastic toothbrushes, which is enough to stretch around the earth 4 times annually. In conjunction, the fluoride from our toothpaste and mouthwash is negatively impacting our sea life, oceans and even our own bodies.

Today, we replace our toothbrush approximately 300 times within our lifetime and on the flip side there are people in developing countries who do not have any form of access to oral hygiene, making oral hygiene and dental care a luxury instead of a necessity.

By carrying out the following we will be working towards these sustainable development goals set by the United Nations; Good health, quality education, sanitation, reduced inequalities, protect the planet, life below water and on land.
